Scotland hosts Chanel's Métiers d’Art
The most talked about event in Scottish fashion took place last night as Karl Lagerfeld staged Chanel's prestigious Métiers d’Art collection at Linlithgow Palace. The £2 million wintery fantasia was a couture cornucopia of tartan, tweed, cashmere, champagne and 35 year-old malt - a tad like your average weekend in the Scottish fashion and textile community!
Hot on the be-jeweled heels of Chanel's purchase of Barrie Knitwear, the column inches and web centimetres are shining a well-deserved spotlight on the industry and we raise a glass to all the companies making our iconic products. Slàinte!
